President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to depart for Vietnam today (3), on a state visit at the invitation of the President of Vietnam, Luong Cuong.
During the visit, which lasts until 6 May, President Dissanayake is set to hold official discussions with the President and Prime Minister (PM) of Vietnam and also meet with senior dignitaries.
According to reports, the President will be attending the United Nations Day of Vesak ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City, where he will deliver a keynote address as the Chief Guest of the event.
The two nations will also sign several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements to mark their strong diplomatic ties, Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed.
