Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to appear before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) on Monday (28).
According to the CIABOC, he was initially summoned on 17 April over a statement he made about the bribery case filed against New Democratic Front (NDF) Parliamentarian Chamara Sampath Dassanayake.
In response to this, the former President indicated that he is prepared to appear before the commission but requested a different date, citing his attorneys’ absence during the New Year holidays.
